Be part of the movement for change!

CA2019 will advance the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009–2020 (National Framework), the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010–2022, and the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It will bring together delegates who are passionate about shaping policy, programs and practice for children, young people and families now and into the decades ahead.

The key themes and specific areas of focus for CA2019:

1. Improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children

Print Children and young people at risk of entering, or in the child protection system

2. Improving access to prevention and early intervention

Print Joint service planning and investment

3. Improving placement stability for children and young people in out-of-home care

Print Reunification and other permanent care options

4. Keeping children and young people safe from abuse

Print Organisations and government

5. Strengthening our focus on wellbeing Beyond 2020

The conference program will contribute to enhancing our knowledge and capacities to engage with the national policy agenda for the wellbeing and safety of children, young people and families. It will help unpack and explore new and improved national policy ideas and solutions to complex issues affecting children, young people and their families. The participation of young people in planning and presenting will be a feature of this conference.

Following on from the success of the 2017 conference, CA2019 will feature new formats as well as improvements to some of our existing formats.
