Welcome

We welcome your ideas on how to make Australia an even better place for children and young people.

The 2017 Child Aware Approaches Conference titled, ‘Driving national action on child safety and wellbeing’, was a vibrant and interactive two-day conversation between policymakers, researchers and service delivery experts from around Australia.

The 2017 conference was the fifth in a series of highly successful conferences that have advanced the National Framework for Protecting Australia’s Children 2009-2020, Australia’s first-ever COAG-endorsed plan of action to improve child safety and wellbeing.

Videos of keynote presentations, Xpress Podium presentations and presentation slides from all sessions can be found here.

Videos and presentation slides from all previous conferences can be found here.

The Australian Government Department of Social Services was the major sponsor of the 2017 Child Aware Approaches Conference.
